Restoring flow within the body.
Offering friendly, gentle, patient-centered care, Align Acupuncture is here help you feel more like yourself again.
Acupuncture is a natural modality that takes into account the whole picture, not just the parts, when helping the body heal itself.
Common issues we see are longstanding pain, anxiety and stress, migraines and headaches, arthritis, and digestive issues (though we are not limited to these areas only).
Services
Cupping & Gua Sha
Used to help move stagnation (which can sometimes feel like tension, pain, or irritability) and to shorten and prevent colds and flus, cupping and gua sha feel similar to (but a bit different from) massage. Cupping can leave harmless purple or red marks on the skin for several weeks.
These modalities are incorporated into acupuncture treatments.
Cosmetic Acupuncture
COMING SOON.
Cosmetic acupuncture uses the body's own healing mechanisms to restore vitality and maintain the health of the skin. Fine needles inserted into the skin trigger the dermis to produce collagen and elastin, often resulting in a natural smoothing and lifting effect.
Since all acupuncture is a process, cosmetic acupuncture typically involves an initial treatment course of around ten sessions in five weeks.
Acupuncture
A holistic approach to health, acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine modality that uses fine needles to stimulate healing processes within the body. Acupuncture works to restore and maintain flow within the body's "channels", which function much like rivers do for the Earth, delivering nutrients, fluid, and energy to our tissues. Because of this, it can be used to address a very wide array of issues—from skin conditions to internal imbalances to musculoskeletal dysfuction.
Hello! I'm Morgan Cross, Registered Acupuncturist and owner of Align Acupuncture.
Coming from a mixed background in veterinary care and creative writing, acupuncture wasn't in my sights until a surprisingly effective course of treatments completely relieved my "impossible" back pain.
Curious how something so tiny could be so powerful, I began researching acupuncture, then reading foundational Chinese medicine books. Fascinated by its ancient roots in Daoist philosophy, I continued reading, eventually started needling too, and in 2022 graduated summa cum laude with a Diploma of Acupuncture from Pacific Rim College.
Since 2023, I've had the pleasure of giving close to 2000 treatments in private and community acupuncture settings, in small and big towns throughout the CRD, and now, finally, right here at home, in Brentwood Bay.
This medicine and the people it brings through the door humble, inspire, and amaze me every day. I feel so lucky to get to call this practice mine, and honoured every time someone chooses to share a part of their healing journey with me.
Me and my sweet, stubborn, eight-year-old puppy, Sunny.
